the current ‘Khalifa of Delhi Gharana’, Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan at times. Besides this, he has also done courses on Western Vocal Techniques, and has great skills in Western Singing as well, which gives him the edge and advantage of blending the best of both worlds in his singing.
He has done recordings, live shows/gigs, cover videos and apart from giving his voice in ad jingles, TV shows, regional films and so on he has also performed on numerous stage shows all over India and had also got the opportunity to perform on the same stage as the Maestro of Music, Shankar Mahadevan, and the very talented, Javed Ali and has also jammed with one of the best and top-most bands in India, “Indian Ocean”. He makes his mark on stage with a combination of singing and showmanship, woos the audience with his charming persona and his on-stage presence is something you just can’t ignore.
His journey in music started at the age of 5 when he won the First Prize in the inter-school singing competition and has been going on till date. He has inherited his singing from his mother. From winning prizes in school and college competitions to winning State and National level competitions, he has bagged a lot of awards. He was entitled “Voice of Maheshwari” after winning the Singing Category of the International Competition, “Shining Stars” held in Pune. He has also won awards in huge inter-corporate fests in Hyderabad and has also won Battle of Bands in the colossal fests of IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur, and also of various other Delhi University college fests.
On the whole, he is a recording artist and a stage performer both, and because of his versatility he can sing all types of songs, ranging from Indian classical and semi-classical to Bollywood, and from Hindi and English to other Indian and Foreign languages.
